Donald Trump won the US presidency election for one predictable reason (not that anyone was particularly focussed on it in the gutter-hugging election campaign): the US economy sucks.
Had Hillary remembered her own husband’s famous verdict – “It’s the economy, stupid” – she might have pre-written the loser’s speech she had to deliver in the afternoon of 9 November.
